Lip Augmentation Recovery Process - NewImage.com

LIP AUGMENTATION RECOVERY

Recovery from lip augmentation is relatively easy, but may include some dietary restrictions. This is because the incisions for this procedure are placed in the mouth. You may have difficulty talking or eating. Don’t stretch your mouth and try to avoid yawning widely. You may need to confine yourself to soft foods like soups, gelatins and baby food for a few days and may also need to drink with a straw. Avoid foods with sharp edges such as potato chips, which can irritate the incision site.

You can brush your teeth the day after the lip augmentation surgery, but do it gently and avoid incisions or injections sites. Using mouthwash regularly is recommended to keep the sutures clean during the recovery period. Sutures, if any, usually dissolve within 10 days, but while they are present, be gentle with them.
