MALE BREAST ENLARGEMENT RISKS


No surgery is risk-free, and male chest enhancement is no exception. The risks include risks related to anesthesia and bleeding or clotting problems. Nonmedical risks include unhappiness with how you look after the male breast enlargement procedure.

Excessive bleeding can occur with breast enhancement for men. Additionally, you can have clotting problems, such as the formation of a pocket of clotted blood or watery fluid.

Loss of sensitivity and excessive scarring are also risks associated with male breast enhancement. There is usually a temporary loss of sensation in the nipples. This loss of sensitivity usually subsides, but in rare cases there may be a permanent loss of sensation in the breast area. Excessive scarring, both internally and externally, may also occur. Proper post-operative care can help to reduce this risk, but excessive scarring may still occur, even when the instructions of your breast augmentation surgeon are followed carefully.

There is usually a temporary loss of sensation in the nipples after pectoral implants are put in. This loss of sensitivity usually resolves, but although it is rare, you may permanently lose sensitivity on your chest. Excessive internal or external scarring can also occur. Proper postoperative care can help to reduce this risk, but excessive scarring may still occur.

There is also the risk that your pectoral implants may move out of place. While minor displacement may only be noticeable by you, moderate or severe displacement may require additional surgery to reposition the implant.
