I've had the privilege of being with My Choice Medical for 2½ years. This is a company that genuinely cares about its employees, the valued customers they serve, and their excellent board-certified surgeons.
Why do I love my job? My first profession was being an elementary school teacher. I loved seeing the changes that occurred in each child throughout the year. Now, as a My Choice Medical consultant, I enjoy seeing the changes that take place in adults. I meet a variety of people with one common goal. Each one wants to make a change in their appearance to gain more confidence. Whether it is changes in their body that happened after having a baby or features they were born with that they would like to improve on, our highly qualified doctors have helped. I enjoy helping patients through this process and seeing their joy as they reach their goals.
I am an Arizona native. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona and received my Master's Degree from San Diego State University in Counseling and Education. Following my 5-year stay in California, I married my wonderful husband and we returned to Arizona to be with our family, and to start a family of our own. Now, I have two amazing boys, who happen to be the center of our universe.
Personally, I love to spend time with my family and friends and I enjoy hiking and yoga. Professionally, my specialty is facilitating high level, personal, and discreet services to clients. In all of my experiences, my emphasis has been delivering exceptional services in a warm and professional manner. I am honored to have been a part of My Choice Medical for the past 5 years.
I have had the opportunity to be on the receiving end of everything My Choice Medical has to offer. Following the birth of my two children, I felt I needed a bit of a "mommy makeover". I had every confidence in what My Choice Medical had to offer me. I could not be any happier with the results I received. From beginning to end, I received the most personalized, comfortable experience I could have expected. Actually, my experience exceeded anything I could have expected.
I have every intention of continuing deliver these same exceptional services to any My Choice Medical client.
I have been with My Choice Medical since June of 2008. I've always had a passion to help others look and feel their best and working for My Choice Medical allows me the opportunity to do just that.
My personal experience with cosmetic surgery dates back about 7 years. I was 22 years old. My left breast was slightly larger than the right and it had bothered me for years. I went in for breast augmentation. The surgeon was able to not only even me out but also add just the right amount of volume. I went through all of the different emotions that come along in making such a huge personal decision; excitement nervousness, and sometimes even a little fear. Although I am not able to give any medical advice I am here with you every step of the way.
I love my job because making the decision to have plastic surgery is a very important and personal choice and should be handled with great compassion. Both men and women come to us for all different reasons. Maybe you look a little tired and need a little facial rejuvenation to get your appearance back to a more youthful state, or recently lost a lot of weight and want to get rid of excess skin that may be left behind. Whatever the reasons these are life changing moments and it is an honor to be part of the experience. I have several friends that have had cosmetic surgery and to be able to see the difference not only in the physical but in their everyday life is amazing!
I have been with My Choice Medical nearly 8 years. I am truly blessed to work with some of the most amazing plastic surgeons, who not only perform unsurpassed surgeries, but are also extraordinary people who give back to the community. Plastic surgery is a very exciting field with unbelievable possibilities and results. I love working in this field because it gives joy to so many people.
One particular experience that sticks out in my mind is a mom who came in who had four children, two were twins. The multiple pregnancies and breastfeeding had taken a huge toll on her body. As a result, she felt uncomfortable undressing in front of her husband. She came in and had a breast lift with augmentation and a full tummy tuck with a little liposuction.
Needless to say when I saw her post surgery she was a completely different woman who was beaming and exuding confidence. She gave me a huge hug and told me she felt like a newlywed again with her husband. That feeling is priceless and makes my job extremely rewarding.
I have been a Client Services Consultant with My Choice Medical for 5 years. I absolutely love working with the plastic surgeons and helping people become more confident with their bodies by getting cosmetic procedures. I truly feel that My Choice Medical offers choices to people with all kinds of financial situations, and actually helps people afford surgery that might not have been able to have procedures done without our programs.
I really enjoy working with each person that comes through my door. This is a very exciting visit and some of these people have waited for years that have that procedure done!
I, myself, have had breast augmentation done and I can say that I had such a great experience! I have always wanted to have this procedure done and by working in this plastic surgery field with My Choice Medical, I was able to learn everything I wanted to know about my procedure that helped me through every step! I teach group fitness classes at a couple different health clubs and had always wanted to feel more feminine. After having the procedure, I feel more confident and would recommend this procedure to anyone!!
I feel very lucky to get to work with such great plastic surgeons and My Choice Medical
I've been with My Choice Medical for almost 6 years now. I was attracted to this job because I was able to work part time, continue going to nursing school and travel to different offices every month. It breaks up the routine of going to the same place every day.
I love my job for many reasons. MCM gives me a chance to meet new people every time I go to work. It enables patients to do something that they thought was almost impossible. Some of our patients have had some financial trouble in life and this is giving them a second chance to do a procedure that they have always wanted to do. I feel that they are very grateful, excited and relieved to find out that we have only the best board-certified plastic surgeons in our program. It gives me great pleasure having a conversation with someone you just met knowing that you've been involved the process of helping them make one of the biggest decisions of their life.
I specifically remember having mixed emotions about my breast augmentation. I always wanted to do it since the 6th grade. My friends kept developing in the right places but the only thing that I got was taller. So there was no question in my mind whether or not I wanted it. The question was if I deserved it? When you have a family, for some reason you always put yourself last. I couldn't imagine spending that kind of money on myself. I do have a family and I struggled with it. I was online and found "Looks for Less" I could not believe how inexpensive it was. Where I live in Fairfield County, CT. things are very expensive. Breast augmentations 6 years ago started at $8,000 with most doctors that I had looked into. I felt ridiculous going into the doctor's office, very insecure, and almost scared to go. I felt that they were going to judge me, until I met the representative from "Looks for Less." You make an appointment on the computer and its automatic and you think its a scam. I was so wrong. She made me feel so comfortable and prepared me for my consultation with the doctor. That made all the difference in the world. It was awesome knowing I got a got a great deal for my surgery, had an awesome doctor and fabulous boobs!
I had the pleasure of working with the staff of My Choice Medical for almost 2 years before I joined the company. Everyone that I had been in contact with was friendly, fun, and sincere. I could tell they enjoyed their jobs. That is why I wanted to join the team, and have been here for almost a year.
There is no better feeling than absolutely loving your job. I can't wait to meet our clients and help them achieve their goals and dreams. Its so much fun meet people from all different walks of life and hear their stories. However, none of this would be possible without the caring, sincere and excellent surgeons we have on board with us.
We all have body issues that bother us. As a mommy, you know you never regain the fullness you once had in your breasts prior to childbirth. I have one daughter and gained over 80 lbs with her. So I know, the issues some woman face after childbirth. I doesn't matter how much weight you lose, that loose skin just won't go away. It gets worse. I remember having a client who felt terrible about her appearance. She was in her mid-30s, recently divorced and ready to start dating again. But, sat in my office crying because her ex-husband had made her feel so bad about the loose skin on her stomach. She had four beautiful kids and was a very attractive woman. I helped her with the consultation, set her up with financing, and saw the incredible transformation. She only needed a mini-tummy tuck. But, the self-esteem and confidence she gained. It was priceless.
I have been with My Choice Medical for 5 years. I love my job because I am helping people who have been on a path of self-improvement for a long time. The fact that my job, which I enjoy so much, not only fulfills me but also makes a difference in others' lives is so satisfying. I have patients continually tell me what a long road it has been to get to the point of having a consultation, and the joy of helping them achieve their surgery is rewarding. Many times patients are emotional, expressing what a big personal step this is for them. As I have learned, patients begin to consider a cosmetic procedure for many different reasons. However, regardless of the specific reasoning, the outcome is the same for any patient: personal betterment.
As a fulltime mom of two toddlers, My Choice Medical has been in and out of my professional life now for about 8 years. Throughout the time that I have been with the company, I have had the opportunity to see the company's transition and growth, which has been very exciting for me. I have also had the opportunity to be able to work with incredible doctors who have taken the time to educate me on the different surgeries and procedures.
The entire staff at My Choice Medical is so supportive and helpful. All of the doctors that I have had the chance to meet have been extremely nurturing, caring and understanding with the patients and even myself. Everyone takes the time to educate and communicate their methods and procedures which is helpful when a patient has a lot of questions or is unsure about surgery. With the credentials that our doctors have, its easy to believe in the service that My Choice Medical is providing. My position at My Choice Medical couldn't be any more satisfying. A job that you are really excited to wake up to isn't easy to find. Helping people feel better about themselves is something I think everyone would love to do in life. I just feel that I am the lucky lotto winner to be the one to help bring a little hope and happiness into people's lives.
I had a patient that came into the office who was so unhappy with her body after having kids that she refused to let her own husband see her without her clothes on. She desperately wanted not only a tummy tuck and liposuction, but also a breast augmentation. She had been living with severe stretch marks on her stomach, breasts and hips after the birth of 4 children. Her husband was one of the most supportive spouses I had ever met and said that if surgery was going to be the thing that helped to get his wife back, he would be incredibly grateful. After the doctor performed the surgeries, I was able to see them when they stopped by the office for a quick hello. I will be happy to report that she wore a two-piece bathing suit on their vacation to the beach where by the way they also renewed their wedding vows. Her husband never stopped thanking the doctor and everyone in the office!
I have been working for My Choice Medical for over 6 years. I was first introduced to My Choice Medical by a friend who worked for the company. She constantly raved about how much she loved her job and enjoyed helping people achieve their dreams. I had to be a part of such a wonderful program!
I truly love being a Client Services Consultant! Each day in a surgeon's office is a little adventure. I have an opportunity to meet many wonderful people, each with their own story of personal motivations to reach their aesthetic goals. Every patient holds a special place in my heart, as together we reach a goal that they once thought was impossible. I am proud to work for a company that provides the financial means to make dreams a reality. The board-certified plastic surgeons I work with are top notch. Both the doctors and their staff make not only me, but our patients, feel at home.
Although I have not had a cosmetic procedure done through My Choice Medical yet, I strongly relate to the anxiety, fears, and complete excitement that my patients feel. I have the same desires and goals they have for my body and self-image. These feelings helps create a wonderful bond, as I feel we travel on this journey together with My Choice Medical.
I have been with My Choice Medical for about 2 years now. I was very attracted to this job because of my own personal experience with plastic surgery along with my extensive background in customer service. This job is not about selling plastic surgery. It's about helping people feel better about themselves along with providing them with the means to accomplish their dream. It is also about understanding everyone's individual circumstances and their feelings. Let's all be real -- plastic surgery is a very personal choice and the longer I work at My Choice Medical the more and more I respect that choice!
I love my job because I am able to help people who want to improve their looks by helping them through the process when they come to meet with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons. Most of the patients I meet with have been considering plastic surgery for quite some time, and they have finally mustered up the courage to go for a consult. It gives me great pleasure to ease them by sharing with them the credentials of the surgeon they will meet with (our program has only the best plastic surgeons), to help them understand what they should expect on their consult day, and finally to help them with the financial piece. All of which, hopefully, will help make their own personal dream come true.
In my own experience with plastic surgery, I specifically remember having mixed emotions. I felt excited to have a breast augmentation because I wanted to do so for so long, but apprehensive about the risks involved with having plastic surgery. All of which are very normal and common feelings about having any kind of surgery. As a Mom I also struggled with feelings of guilt about doing something for myself. I always put my family first! I guess that is what finally drove me to make the decision to have plastic surgery. I knew I had always been there for my family and would continue to do so, but I really felt it was time and that it was okay to take care for myself, too! After my surgery, I often wondered why I had waited so long, but what surprise me most was how happy my own husband and teenage daughters were for me, too! It definitely gave me a lot more confidence. I was not unhappy with my body, but I always wanted to be able to wear a swimsuit and low cut dresses and feel good about it. I now look super in both! Additionally, I look great in just regular everyday clothing at my kid's basketball game, or if I just go out for a casual dinner with my husband! It's all good!
I am proud to have worked with My Choice Medical since 2003.
I enjoy this job because I have the privilege to introduce My Choice Medical customers to "top notch" board-certified plastic surgeons, and assist customers in achieving a body that makes them feel confident. I also enjoy providing my customers with the highest level of quality care while helping them discover what surgery will make them the happiest. In addition, I help them choose a surgery date that fit's their schedule and budget. This creates customers who are happy with the results of their surgery and their finances.
I have been with My Choice Medical for 6 months.
I love getting to meet new people and also knowing that I am helping them to look and feel better about themselves.
I have had two experiences with customers that have really touched me. The first one was a young man. His was around 400 pounds at one time and had lost a lot of the weight, but had the leftover skin. He was such a nice young man, very pleasant and very happy. I did not know his situation at first and then when I found out, I thought to myself, what a great feeling this must be for him and how wonderful it is for me to help him achieve his final goal.
The other instance that really grabbed me was when a woman came into get a breast implant and she was mentioning to me that as a teenage girl, she use to get teased by her siblings because she was so small. You could clearly tell that this gave her a complex and she had mentioned that she had been waiting a long time to get this done and how she was so grateful that she finally found a program that could help her achieve her goal.
This is what makes my position so rewarding for me!
I have worked with My Choice Medical for the past 4 years. I consult for doctors in St. Louis and in the Kansas City area.
I love my job because working with My Choice Medical is such a rewarding experience. I work with wonderful doctors whom I admire and respect. The surgeons that MCM has assigned me to work with are truly excellent and qualified surgeons. It is a pleasure to spend time in their offices and with their staff members making plastic surgery dreams a reality for our patients. I appreciate that we have financing programs that can make scheduling procedures attainable by offering monthly payment plans that are reasonable and affordable. It is so rewarding to see the patients that we have scheduled for surgery come in for follow up visit's afterwards, and know that we made such a big difference in their quality of life by giving them something that changed the way the feel about themselves.
I started with My Choice Medical back in March of 2003, so I have been working as a Client Services Consultant now for a little over 5 years.
I love my job because it is simple and rewarding. I work extremely part time hours. I have an important role at some of the most prestigious board-certified plastic surgeons' offices and I work one-on-one with the patient. I'm introduced to them at a very exciting time in their life. Some patients both male and female, young and old have been dreaming of this moment for years and now have just found the courage to do it. I walk them through a short series of steps, answer their questions and congratulate them on their way to becoming a new person….I'm a hero and that's my job.
Every consult day is a new experience. Some patients will cry from excitement, some will laugh with joy, and some will just be speechless in amazement. When you work with people, real people, there is never a dull moment, you could find yourself trading recipes, listening to amazing triumphs of adversity or meeting a new real friend.
I have been with My Choice Medical for 6 years.
I find cosmetic surgery intriguing and very interesting. It's been fun learning about the many different types of procedures that are offered that can help people improve on their appearance. I get a lot of enjoyment out of working for My Choice Medical because I like helping people feel better about themselves. Many people dream for years about having a cosmetic procedure done, but always find an excuse not to do it. When they finally take the plunge, it's an exhilarating experience and I love being a part of it!
I recently had a young woman come in who had been thinking about having a breast augmentation and tummy tuck for years. By the time our consult was finished, she booked both surgeries and was excited, but still seemed hesitant, and wasn't sure that the money she was spending would be worth it. I happened to be working when she came in for her post-op appointment (only 5 days after her surgery date). She looked FABULOUS and was so thrilled with how everything turned out that she told me she was planning on referring two of her friends that were thinking about having plastic surgery as well. She said it was the best money she's ever spent!
I have been with My Choice Medical since April 2007. This seemed to be a perfect fit for me due to my long history in healthcare and customer service, and having a fascination with plastic surgery.
I love my job because for 12 years I have worked in oncology, critical care, and interventional radiology as a registered nurse. During that time I have been exposed to so much illness, sadness, and misfortune.
My personal experience was several years ago. Although I had often thought about breast augmentation, "boob jobs" were not discussed so openly. This made it even harder. I did not even know where to start. I was afraid of making an appointment for a consultation. I did not know who to call, or how to research the doctors. Then I moved to Las Vegas the plastic surgery capital). This is where I decided to "jump ship." I met a woman who referred me to a doctor and it's all history from here. I never looked back!
I just came on board with My Choice Medical in August 2008, and I am so excited about my job! I think that it is amazing to be able to walk patients through this huge decision. I know that we make the patients feel more at ease about having the procedures done.
Working for a company that represents only the very best doctors is of the utmost importance to me. I know that I can feel great about recommending any of the doctors within our network – they do beautiful work.
While I have not yet personally experienced cosmetic surgery, several members of my family have, and I know what a big decision it is. Being well-informed and feeling comfortable with your doctor is key to a positive surgery experience.
I know how important it is to feel good about the physical image we project into the world. I love that I can help people feel even better about how they look.
I have been with My Choice Medical over 7 years. I can honestly say that I LOVE my job. I have even referred some other Client Services Consultants to the company. I love that I go to a lot of different offices and get to work the dynamics at each one. Each month I look forward to my day at a particular office as they look forward to the day as well. I have met so many wonderful people. I love that I get to make people feel better about themselves. The customers are so happy with our service and being able to finally fulfill their dreams. It is wonderful to see that no matter what age people can feel better about themselves.
I had a 72-year-old grandmother come in for a face lift and decided to have her breasts done at the same time! Guess what she didn't even need a lift!!! Our customers are of all ages, and backgrounds and it is a privilege to get to find out the interesting story behind each one.
One story really touched my heart. A gentleman came in for a tummy tuck. He was in fabulous shape. He had lost 150 lbs all by himself and had gone from an overweight man to a professional boxer! The removal of the extra skin was the last part to the fairy tale ending. He had a dream and he saw it though. I called him Rocky Balboa! I love knowing that I have helped people reach their dreams.
I've been working for My Choice Medical about two and a half years. I began working at the corporate office located in Stroudsburg, PA, having done various positions that included finance representative, phone representative, and practice coordinator. I moved to South Carolina in the fall of 2006 and became a Client Services Consultant in the field. This experience helps me when I'm in the offices dealing with customers.
I count myself as being very fortunate that I can actually say I love my job. I enjoy meeting new people each time at the consult and helping them through a process that is one of the most important steps and/or decisions of their life. For most, it's a life changing experience and it makes it rewarding to me that I've helped them with this process. Also being part of the daily routine in the doctor's office the day of the consult where I am surrounded by professional, friendly, knowledgeable staff all adds to the experience. I really enjoy sharing the experience w/ the customers and helping them fulfill a dream. Each have their own reasons but came to the same conclusion that they just want to feel good about themselves. Being part of that is so rewarding to me. Being a mother myself and seeing how, as with age and childbirth, a woman's body changes, I can relate to all this personally. Making new friends and acquaintances and sharing a lifetime of experience are wonderful. We all have an image of the way we would like to be. Our customers through this program can and have achieved this.
I have been with My Choice Medical a little over a year.
I absolutely love what I do! I really enjoy meeting so many different people, and I get to work on a level where I can get to know them personally. I also enjoy watching people's faces light up when we schedule surgery. The surgery is giving them something they need and want, whether it is changing something that they were born with, fixing something that might have happened to them, getting their body back after pregnancy, or some other situation. We are truly helping them and making a difference. I also really enjoy getting to know the different doctors. They are all in the profession to help others and it is interesting learning about them and their background.
A cosmetic surgery experience I would like to share: I had a patient come in who had recently gone through a lot of personal crises, and you could tell when she came in she'd just been beaten down by it all. She ended up going with the whole mommy makeover—breast augmentation and lift, tummy tuck, lipo—and by the end of our consultation a light had just come over her. There was excitement in her voice and she couldn't wait to get started. It was the neatest thing to see her whole change in attitude. That's when you feel that you're really helping these people, and that's so rewarding!
I have been with the company for 3½ years.
I love this job because I have worked in the medical field for over 15 years. I have always enjoyed meeting new people. I relate well with others and have been able to put people at ease in certain conditions. I enjoy the varied aspects of my job, which includes being able to work with a variety of offices and physicians. I also enjoy the ability to help others. With our program, I am able to facilitate our customers fulfill their dream. It is a very positive environment with everyone working as a team.
I enjoy the opportunity to greet the customers prior to their consultation with the physician. It gives me time to introduce myself as well as the company. I am able to explain to them our business relationship with the physicians and inform the customer that my role is to help them through the process. Many times the patients are nervous and I try to put them at ease. They have told me time and time again how much they appreciate this and how excited they are about the consultation. After the consultation, I make sure I have answered all of their financial questions. If they still have additional medical questions, I reach out to the medical staff once more for them. It's wonderful how we work as a team to give the customer the utmost quality and personal service. On occasion, I will be at the office for a consultation day and see a customer in the office for a postoperative visit. They have stopped me in the hall just to let me know how happy they are with the results of their surgery, the doctor and how professional we all are at MCM. They have told me how long they have wanted this surgery and if it weren't for My Choice Medical they would have never been able to afford it. This makes everything worthwhile.
I have been with My Choice Medical for 6 years.
I love helping people realize their dreams. Often, people tell me that they have wanted their procedure done for many, many years. Their reasons for finally doing it vary from: just divorced or decided to do something for themselves, to the financing making it possible. Whatever their reason they are usually both excited and nervous about taking the initial steps to making it happen. I enjoy being the person to help calm their nerves and to get them that much closer to their dream.
Fourteen years ago, after having my first child and having gone through a divorce, I made the decision to have breast augmentation. I had thought about it for years, but I was finally ready to do it. I was extremely nervous but excited when I had my initial consultation. That experience combined with the fact that I have spoken to thousands of men and women over the past six years about their procedures helps me empathize and relate to the people that come in now for a procedure. Knowing that I truly do know how they feel seems to make people calmer. I gladly share my experience with plastic surgery and I make sure that everyone knows that if I had to do it all over again, I absolutely would!
I have happily been working with My Choice Medical for a year and a half.
There are several things that I love about working with My Choice Medical. First, I love being able to meet different people from all over the globe who want to change their lives for the positive. Each patient has a different story that makes him or her unique. I love helping them work out their financing and knowing that because we can help them they will achieve their goal.
Second, it is amazing to see the transformation in self-confidence in patients once they have had surgery. It is a great feeling knowing that along that patient's journey I was able to help in some way. I have seen plastic surgery completely change lives for the positive and it makes me happy to know that I can be of assistance to them in this incredible journey.
I have never had plastic surgery and to be honest, before I worked with My Choice Medical, I never fully understood why people got plastic surgery. Once I started working with My Choice Medical, my eyes where opened and I saw it in a whole new light. I'll always remember my experience that I had with a lady right when I started working with My Choice Medical. She came into my office and I asked her how her consultation went and how long she'd been wanting to have plastic surgery. She told me that she was a mom of five kids. She'd wanted to have a breast augmentation since before she ever had kids, but always told herself that she could not afford it. Now after five kids, she not only needed an augmentation, but also a tummy tuck. She explained to me why she finally felt justified in doing this and how very grateful she was that we were going to be able to help her with her financing. Without us, she'd not be able to do any of this. Months later I saw this lady at a follow-up appointment. She had a whole new light about her. She stood taller, smiled brighter, and felt like a new person. She deserved this and I was so happy that I could be apart of this great process.
I have been with My Choice Medical for 4½ years. I kind of fell into this job in an odd sort of way and have been thrilled ever since! Although I've never had any plastic surgery - yet - I have had many other surgeries and therefore can understand many of my patient's fears and anxiety about having a procedure. As a child, and even as an adult, working as an actress and dancer, I have always struggled with my weight and body image. I then had six wonderful children and four not so wonderful c-sections which really did a number on my stomach, not to mention my self-image!
A large number of my patients come in to the office with the exact same issues that I deal with every day. Some even want to show me their "battle scars!" I definitely can feel empathy for them and can share experiences that can put them at ease. I tell them that I wish I had had a tummy tuck years ago, but I couldn't afford it then. Now with our great program, I'm very much looking forward to my surgery, as soon as I have some time, and (when my last child graduates from college!)
I think what I love most about my job is being in a position to help make someone's dreams come true, and help them to feel really good about themselves. It is so rewarding to have a patient hug you or break down into tears before leaving the office because they're so happy, and knowing that I was a part of that.
For over 20 years, I have been heavily involved in the fashion industry. I've had the opportunity to personally experience the industry by working behind and in front of the camera; and as a former owner of a model and talent agency. What I found is that most models and actresses go through plastic surgery procedures not for personal reasons, but to achieve certain looks in order to land more work. When I started with My Choice Medical in 2002, I loved the fact that I got to work with "real" people who choose to have cosmetic surgery for no one but themselves. It's been a breath of fresh air to see that people have finally come to a time and place in their lives where it's okay to do something for themselves and make changes to their bodies just because they want to for various personal reasons.
I love my job because I meet "real people" who want to make a change. Whether it's to fix something they personally don't like about their bodies or to enhance a feature; I have the privilege to welcome each and every one of our patients when they walk into that surgeon's office for the very first time. I know it's difficult for most people to take that first step of seeing the surgeon, and I truly enjoy getting each person and helping make them feel a little more at ease.
After a patient has called My Choice Medical and has decided to meet with our surgeon, I am the representative from My Choice Medical who has the opportunity to meet with each patient. If time allows, I like to meet the patient prior to them seeing the doctor. If not, I always get to meet with them after their consultation with the surgeon. At this time, I am able to ask them how their consultation went, find out if they have any additional questions or concerns about the procedure discussed and then hopefully take it to the next step; which is booking their surgery. I also go over the financial portion with each patient at that time. The best part is to see the patients post-op with a huge smile on their face and saying "I am so happy I did this. Look at me!"
I had my first cosmetic surgery procedure when I was 21. I was really big on working out then, was jogging daily, and had dropped a lot of weight. But I still had this area in my hips that just would not go away. When I lose weight, I lose it mostly on top, and a lot of my breast volume had disappeared because I'd gotten so skinny. I went in for a breast augmentation, but the plastic surgeon said she'd rather sculpt my hips and thighs, that I was the perfect candidate for liposculpture. So I did that first, and continued to work on my body. But the way genetics work, my breasts never came back. It always bothered me, so I went in and had them done next.
Having had plastic surgery myself, I can really relate to the patients. It can be a scary thing for many people, not only to be spending thousands of dollars but to be changing their bodies. I had a gentleman who's a body builder come in the other day – a huge man – who wanted his nose done. He was really nervous, and it was great to be able to say: "I know what you're going through."
As a Client Services Consultant, I am the representative who will meet with someone when they get to the doctor's office. I always like to greet the patients before they meet the doctor, introduce myself, and ask if they have any questions that weren't answered over the phone or any concerns that I can be working on while they're with the doctor. We can't answer any medical questions, but we can welcome them to the office and make sure they're comfortable. It helps so much to give them that personal experience and to be there with them. After the doctor meets with them, I sit down and we go over the finance portion. Sometimes we chat about their meeting with the doctor, and they'll ask me if I've had plastic surgery, so I share my experiences with them. Some people are so insecure about certain parts of their body, and cosmetic surgery gives them more confidence.
I love my job because we see a lot of different patients. Some are teenage girls who come in for surgery and then there are the young moms. They're some of my favorites! They'll have all this loose skin and stretch marks, and they'll say, "I work out and I'm not overweight, but look at what my babies did!" It's remarkable to see them come back after they've gotten their bodies back and they're feeling like they're themselves again. I also referred my mom and she had her eyes done, a breast reduction and lift. She used to say that she had all this energy inside but she looked so tired. Now you can see that energy in her face. She knows she looks good again – and everyone can see it in her, too!"
I joined My Choice Medical in the fall of 2006. I am the friendly face that you will meet at our office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. What I enjoy most is the opportunity to help our customers make their dreams a reality, and to make the process as painless as possible.
I understand that having a cosmetic procedure is a major decision for our customers and I want to give whatever guidance and information is needed to help each customer make the best decision for themselves.
I love everything about my job, from working with the doctors and their staffs to meeting all of our diverse patients. The variety of people you interact with is awesome! Plus, it's so interesting to learn the different techniques that are available now to help people improve their lives.
When I am consulting with one of our customers, they may or may not be nervous, but I know that they have been thinking about this for a while. This is a serious personal decision. So when we get the surgery booked and you see that twinkle in the customer's eye or hear the enthusiasm in his or her voice, it is so rewarding!
