The recovery time for injectable procedures involving Botox®, collagen and Restylane® is significantly less than that required for invasive surgical procedures. In the vast majority of cases, clients can go home the same day, often right after the procedure, and can resume most of their normal activities at once. The one caveat is that clients are advised to stay out of the sun for a couple of days after the procedure.

After undergoing any of these procedures, clients commonly experience some redness, swelling and bruising around the affected area, but those symptoms usually subside within forty-eight hours. If pain or other symptoms persist and worsen, clients are advised to contact their physician immediately.

Candidates for injectable treatments are urged to talk with their physician about all aspects of the procedure, including recovery expectations, prior to scheduling a procedure. This will help the individual weigh the benefits versus the risks and make an informed decision about the procedure.
